Garlic Butter Chicken Bites
Last night, I decided to try this quick, easy garlic butter chicken recipe, and my family devoured it! The bite-sized pieces cook fast, get crispy, and the garlic butter sauce is full of flavor. You can pair these chicken bites with garlic bread, roasted asparagus, or a simple salad for a quick family-friendly meal.
Feel free to customize this recipe with your choice of protein – shrimp or tofu work great as alternatives to chicken!

This recipe is adapted from Food & Wine. I made it lower sodium by using Mrs. Dash and avocado oil. We swapped garlic cloves for garlic powder, used chicken broth instead of stock, and oregano instead of fresh parsley. Lemon wedges were omitted.

- 2 tbsp flour
- *1 tsp Mrs. Dash Chicken Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (plus 2 tbsp more later)
- *1/4 cup chicken broth or *organic vegetable broth
- 4–5 boneless chicken filets, diced (or substitute shrimp or tofu)
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/4 cup butter, cut into 1 tbsp pieces
- Basil, oregano – to top
Directions for Easy Garlic Butter Chicken Bites
✓ Step #1: Mix seasonings – In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, Mrs. Dash chicken seasoning, and garlic powder.
✓ Step #2: Coat chicken – Add the diced chicken to the bowl and toss until all pieces are well coated.
✓ Step #3: Heat oil – In a large skillet, heat the avocado oil over medium-high heat.
✓ Step #4: Cook chicken – Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken pieces. Cook for 3–4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Transfer the chicken to a plate.
Note: Don’t wipe the skillet—those flavorful bits are key!
✓ Step #5: Make sauce – Lower the heat and stir in the garlic powder and chicken broth. Add the butter one tablespoon at a time, stirring until melted.
✓ Step #6: Combine and serve – Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and serve hot with your favorite sides.
Storage & Reheating Tip
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stove or in the microwave for best results.
