Why You Will Have These Garlic Butter Chicken Bites On Repeat

We make chicken recipes every other day or so and this is one we will have on repeat. I feel like diced, or smaller chicken pieces, make it easier for chicken to cook all the way through without overcooking it. With a total prep and cook time of 15 minutes, you really can't go wrong!

This recipe uses less than ten ingredients and combines seasonings with broth, butter, and avocado oil to make this a flavorful dish you will want seconds of! The garlic butter sauce leaves this chicken tender and juicy. The chicken bites are nice and browned and crispy and all of the ingredients merge together to make a flavorful garlic chicken dinner. Cook a little bit longer for that browned crust on each piece.

How to Customize This Chicken Recipe

Feel free to customize this recipe with your choice of protein – shrimp or tofu work great as alternatives to chicken! You can also adjust your seasonings to your liking.

Inspiration Behind These Garlic Butter Chicken Bites

This recipe is adapted from Food & Wine. I made it lower sodium by using Mrs. Dash and avocado oil. We swapped garlic cloves for garlic powder, used chicken broth instead of stock, and oregano instead of fresh parsley. Lemon wedges were omitted.

Tips For the Best Garlic Butter Chicken Bites

• Cut chicken into small, even-sized pieces so they cook evenly and quicker
• Don't overcrowd the pan - otherwise the chicken won't crisp
• Make sure before you flip the chicken over that they are browned and crispy to your liking
• If it starts to burn at the end, you can add more butter or cooking spray

How It All Comes Together: Directions for Easy Garlic Butter Chicken Bites

Step #1: Mix seasonings – In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, Mrs. Dash chicken seasoning, and garlic powder.

Step #2: Coat chicken – Add the diced chicken to the bowl and toss until all pieces are well coated.

Step #3: Heat oil – In a large skillet, heat the avocado oil over medium-high heat.

Step #4: Cook chicken – Once the oil is shimmering, add the chicken pieces. Cook for 3–4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Transfer the chicken to a plate.

Step #6: Combine and serve – Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and serve hot with your favorite sides.
