The romaine lettuce and broccoli slaw are fresh and crisp, the gochujang adds a hint of spice in the back of the throat — a little kick, but not too spicy. The meat adds a crispy, crunchy, full-of-flavor element with a hint of acidity.

Why You Will Love This Keto-Friendly Lettuce Wraps Recipe

This easy healthy beef recipe is full of flavor. With only 344 calories in two lettuce wraps, it will be hard to stop at just two. This is another recipe that takes your normal, everyday comfort food, and elevates it. I added Everything but the Bagel seasoning as a salty, flavorful, topping. I opened up my cabinet and saw the Everything but the Bagel seasoning and thought that would be an interesting touch.

If you are trying to eat better like I am, this is a recipe you will want to try. I used 90/10 beef but you can also use ground turkey for a healthier alternative. Broccoli slaw and lettuce are your greens, I tend to lean towards a lower sodium or organic soy sauce, and then added small amounts of sesame oil and sweet chili sauce. Feel free to adjust or customize based on your likings. I also suggested some additional toppings below.

I just got over a 12-day stomach ache, lower abdomen, constant pain and I was miserable. Although my tests came back clean, it has really been a wake-up call with my health and I started being intentional with the things I was eating.

I eliminated some food from my diet as well as coffee (the ultimate culprit) and I started focusing more on greens and healthier options and alternatives. I am now taking prebiotic and probiotics everyday, removing protein bars and coffee from my diet, cutting back on soda, and focusing on a high-fiber and high-protein diet when and where I can.

The greens and slaw in this recipe as well as the low-sodium ingredients and lower saturated fat in the 90/10 beef put me right on track with how I want to be eating.
