Easy Pulled Pork Hawaiian Sliders (Slow Cooker Recipe)
Homemade Pulled Pork Sliders
We made these pulled pork sliders last night and let me tell you - there were so many flavors in one bite. The pulled pork was tender and juicy, letting it broil added a toasty crust on the bun as well as infusing the cheese into the meat so perfectly. The sesame seeds on top added a layer of crunch and then we had some sweetness from the Hawaiian roll and the barbecue sauce.
• Difficulty Level: Easy
• Serving size: 3-4
• Total cook time: 4–5 hours on high (or 7–8 hours on low) in the crockpot + 2 minutes broiling
• Family friendly: Absolutely! I made 8 sliders and they were all eaten
Why You Will Love These Pulled Pork Sliders
There are several reasons why you will love these. The first is I let the pulled pork cook in a crockpot on high for about 4 hours which allowed the pork to get soft, juicy, and tender.
And, with only 10 ingredients overall, it's a super easy recipe to make, filling, and a favorite that your whole family will enjoy! Just put the pork in a crockpot in the late morning and it's done by dinner!
What makes this recipe different?
I wanted to add an extra crispy and crunch to these sliders so I added them to the broiler for about two minutes which gave them a toasty edge. It melted the cheese perfectly and they weren't overly burnt. I also sprayed each roll on top with a PAM cooking spray and added sesame seeds on top. Also, for the cheese, I had purchased cracker-cut cheese which is made for crackers, but they fit perfectly on top of the sliders.

Inspiration
This recipe was inspired by Insanely Good Recipes (which has been my go-to lately). Like always, we added our own twist to it. I used a 3.5 pound pork butt and just added pulled pork onto each slider (I didn't actually count the cups or anything) and kept the extra pork in the fridge for later.
I used 8 King's Hawaiian rolls and that was the perfect amount for our family of three. Again, I used the cracker-cut cheese instead of shredded but feel free to use your choice of cheese. I didn't use butter, brown sugar, poppy seeds, or coleslaw.

How to Store and Reheat Pulled Pork
If you have leftover pulled pork, you can add it an airtight container and keep in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave or the oven, until warm.
Adjust to Your Liking
• You can add different seasonings based on your liking - you can add salt or other dried seasonings
• You can swap out pulled pork for pulled chicken
• If you want the pulled pork to have some spice, you can add chili powder or red pepper flakes to the slow cooker
• For a sweeter taste, you can add honey or pineapple juice to the crockpot or to the sliders
• If you want a saltier topping to balance out the sweetness of the rolls, you can swap out sesame seeds for Everything but the Bagel seasoning
• I added a spoonful of BBQ sauce on top of the pulled pork once it was on the slider, you can add your choice of sauce or toppings
